What RAM problems? If you are talking about the boot voltage issue - that was an issue with GeIL RAM that had it's SPD profile information incorrectly programmed so it would not boot up as it should have. The Motherboard worked properly - the RAM didn't if I recall correctly.
All computer components should work together. As far as I am aware the only issues with RAM voltages were fixed at about the F4 BIOS on the DS4, about 4 months ago.
The Ram issue was a BIOS issue, nothing to do with board revison, your board should be fine now as when i got my board months ago, it came with BIOS F3, which was a later BIOS that had fixed the Ram problem, and mine worked straight out of the box with the Geil Ram, if yuor getting a board now it will have nearenough the latest BIOS, proably about F5-F7, so will be fine regardless of wether its a revision 1x board.
