It's been very noticeable how few 3080s have been around recently. Same die as the 3080 Ti, so maybe they're using them all to build up stocks of those. Yields on the chip seem good enough, since the 3090 has been perhaps the most readily-available Ampere card (or if not, close behind the 3070).I think in the last 3-4 weeks, almost no 3080s of any flavour have been coming in.
Look at the pre-order queue on a certain competitor, all orders been "TBC" for weeks. Before there was a steady trickle of 10-20 cards a week. Sometimes even more.
Very likely that big miners are not taking any chances around the LHR cards so have been going the extra mile to grab all the available 3080s while they can. Combine that with a possible drop off in production of the non-LHR chips.
At the very least, supply will hopefully return to what it was a few months ago once the LHR cards launch properly
Are all original models not technically end of line now? Nvidia's blog post yesterday said that the new LHR versions will be specifically labelled as such, with identifiers on the box and cards. Seems like a good opportunity to call it a new SKU and get rid of all those pesky "cheap" orders still waiting to be fulfilled.Isnt the Eagle end of line?

And thats the beauty, let one manufacture take the bad press and fall, then all do it.Should this be called pulling a msi ?
