Occasionally when I open the Hardware Monitor tab I get the following error:

The system temperature warning of -1C is bound to be false as I don't suffer from any crashes or anything.
Anyway, it is accompanied by this error report:

I have googled 4838_appcompat.text but there were no results!
Usually when I reboot the PC, the problem disappears for a while.
I ran a Search and it found 2 entries for the file and they both appear to be temporary internet files which when I attempt to open them I see the IE warning (below):

I have had this problem occuring for ages now and so out of curiosity, I'm hoping someone knows why it happens?
