Gigabyte Easytune bad?

Is the gigabyte easytune util not a good thing to use

I am testing the water when it comes to overclocking, and using that util has put me off a bit. Basically I tried to put the FSB up by 1mhz (267 lol) and the computer froze, the sound went haywire and the machine would not reboot unless I completely disconnected it from the power.....

I awaiting a graphics card replacement before I try to do any overclocking in the BIOS

is it supposed to crash when changing anything?

You should always overclock in the bios. Most software overclocking tools are flaky and best avoided.

I got me a gigabyte board, my second now. On both I have found Easytune to be crap. not so much in terms of instability of overclock but more in the accuracy of temp/voltage readings, they simply don't match my bios readouts at all! So I don't bother now.
