Gigabyte esupport no reponse... Help!

Always loved gigabyte. Right from my early days of overclocking.

Seen a few posts about people having problems bit for someone who works for gigabyte to come on the forums and double check is next level support. He doesn't need to do that..... Think they need more credit IMO

Some other vendors do but I think only Gigabyte and Corsair ones have been particularly active... and the Asus one IIRC got banned due to being abusive towards people.

Yea Corsair Chris and LG Daniel is all i ever seen on here you can tell all the brands like Inno, Palit and Asus really do not care about us this is why they cheap on a 24month warranty while Gigabyte give 4 years AND a nice rep. EVGA should also be doing better i would base any purchase carefully around that info.

You also have AMD support with LtMatt (although I think that's unofficial).

I got my GPU back today!!! :D :D :D

Just want to thank you for all your help! I do agree with you, the response time via email is much faster and much more helpful than the e-support, but I also agree with the others, I think you help a lot more than you think and gigabyte as a whole owe you for providing such good customer service.

My experience:
- E-support takes a painfully long time to respond and as I have now discovered, it is for technical support only!

-Once I emailed and got in contact (1 working day) I was given an RMA form, then given an RMA number 1 working day after submission (I did submit late in the evening tbf).
I think GIGA-Man pushed them a little ;)

-I was then instructed to send my GPU to the address provided and can confirm that £15 cash or postal order was requested (This is to return your GPU to you via UPS). So nothing dodgy as I read in other threads.

-I sent the package on Monday. It arrived late Tuesday afternoon, was fixed Thursday then shipped that same day and I have received it back today (Friday).

-In the package they included some paper work and wrote down the issue, which was faulty memory and I believe they have replaced them with samsung ones as it comes up on GPU-z now.

-I have carried out all the tests and can confirm it's fully working again!

So it basically took a week from initial email to getting it back.

For anyone out there who has come across this thread with similar issues, Just email [email protected] & [email protected]. You will get all the help you need there.
(These email addresses should really be on the website or at least on the technical support page)

I would still recommend Gigabyte to anyone who got a little scared from my initial post haha.

@Halo123123 Nice to see it all sorted !

@GIGA-Man to the rescue

That's all well and good, but what if Giga-man changes jobs, leaves the company, goes on holiday, or sick leave? If Gigabyte isn't responding to the customer support emails, that's a problem, despite the fact that Giga-man can jump in and sort it.

there's quiet a lot of Gigabyte team on here , Think Giga-man has also posted up RMA e-mail, which helps. Sure Communities rep is also lurking about

@GIGA-Man

You should talk to HQ about the £15 fee that sounds really cheap and dodgy. If i buy a £1150 2080ti i will also have to pay £15? Why though? Is the cost of an RMA not included if Gigabyte state a 4yr warranty? I guess this is hidden in the terms of the contract but really who asks for cash for postage on such expensive items?

Tell them also, I live in a rural part of the UK, N Ireland and OCUK never ask more than £11 for postage, Indeed when i posted off my 1080 it cost just under £11. So why does Gigabyte want £15? Where is the Gigabyte RMA center? Rockall? I am all for Gigabyte but this really annoys me and makes me want to look at Zotac. Do Zotac too demand money? Maybe this is something i have been in the dark about.

PS keep up the good work :)

Hey @GIGA-Man I was just wondering if you could help someone outside the UK? I am in Australia, and went to register my new graphics card, and take advantage of a promotion where I would get the new Call of Duty game. However when I entered my serial number, it said that it had already been used. This isn't just a problem because I can't get the game, but it will likely become a problem if I need to get it replaced under warranty. Sorry to hijack the thread, I'm just a bit desperate.
