A place to share hints and tips on overclocking the current bargain I7 mobo.

More to follow tomorrow, myself and Djay recieved.

Currently with ocz PC3-10666 i seem happy enough at 3.6ghz.

This is what i did to get 3.6ghz.

# Enable "Turbo Boost"
# disable C1E
# disable C3/C6/C7
# enable EIST
# enable Base Clock control
# Vcore at 1.35V (going to drop this back down when i reboot to see if i can get it stable at 1.25-1.30)
# Load Line Calibration enabled
# Changed base clock to 180
# Set memory to 9-9-9-24 on all banks (its the cheapy ocz 6gb setting).

Any hints, tips would be helpful.

My previous PC with the same card (dell 9200 e6600) would score 10200 3dmarks, with the upgrade of board, memory and cpu only, ive gone up to 14700, a boost of more than 40% for about £250 (after selling my old pc). The boost in games has been superb, i was considering trading the 4800 for a GTX260 or 280/285, but everything is running extremely smoothly now, and i dont think its worth the upgrade to change at the moment.

Ok, now running this at 1.35vcore. QPI/VTT needs to be on 1.4 for total prime 95 stability. Currently running 3.6ghz + Turbo Mode for 3780mhz.
Memory at 1440mhz. Will try memory at 1800mhz soon as well. Happy for now :)
