hello, i have recently changed the fast boot option on my Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H mobo to ultra fast, now i have noticed that it doe not power on my keyboard and mouse just until windows is loaded up, therefore i cant get into the bios. Is there another way to get into to the Gigabyte bios through windows ?

Thanks in advanced

You will have to reset the CMOS to get back in.

The mouse and keyboard not working until windows with that option is normal behaviour.

thnk you, i have no idea how to do that so do i just turn my pc off and press a button on the mobo ?

EDIT: ive managed to do it, the cmos reset button was labelled cmos_sw, i also changed the ultra fast boot option so that usb devices were enabled, so they now work :D

that's what fastboot is,it cuts the usb ports to save time booting up till inside windows

pop out the mb/cmos battery for 30minutes is best method imo,but yeah the cmos button might do it(that's if it has it,not sure)

Just checked myself and it doesn't (I think the UD4H does though).

Might have to do a CMOS clear to get into BIOS.

yeh, this was what i had to do to get in, Im surprised gigabyte didn't think of a way on entering bios after ultra fast boot was enabled
