Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the memory voltage for DD2 memory modules to 2.1V on the Gigabyte GA-G41M Combo board?
The specs for the board state 1.8V but in the manual there appears to be a setting in the bios for DDR voltage. I haven't bought the board yet and need to be sure my RAM will work (GEil 2x 1GB DDR2 800 2.1v). I'm hoping to use the board with a E5800 CPU. Thanks in advance.

Hello & welcome to the forum :)

You should be able to by increasing the DDR setting you found in the manual.

It may highlite red but don't worry.

Thanks RJC for the quick reply. I'm currently using a Abit IP35-e which I think is dying. I had a slight issue with this board initially getting it to boot with the RAM at the 1.8V default in order to get into the bios settings to change it! I just wondered would I have the same problem with the Gigabyte board and possibly not even get into the bios screen at all...

In the past I have never had a problem, I used the Abit IP35 Pro and a Gigabyte X38 UD5 board with 2.1v memory.
