Gigabyte GA-79-UD5. Safe Mode?

Gigabyte GA-79-UD5, running W8

Can someone kindly tell me which key to hit to get Safe mode.

I thought it was F8, but no joy.

OK. I figured it out.

In windows 8 it is a whole different bag. F8 does not work.
Shift+F8 might, but if not these steps do.....
