Anyone got any opinions of this? I'm looking for an ATX G965 board for my Dad as the X3000 graphics will be fine for him, he plays no games nowadays.

It doesn't have to be the 965 chipset, no, but it must have integrated graphics.

All P965 chipsets with integrated graphics run the latest C2 stepping so should all do 500+ FSB with ease.

I dont have anything against IG but these new chipsets have been hobbled to stop any decent games playing, a real shame since it used to be a good deal

I've persuaded him otherwise now, so we have selected a Gigabyte/Conroe/2Gb bundle from the OcUK shop.

He can have my X850XT card for a few bob.
