Hello,

I'm starting to have issues with the DS4, E6300 and some G.Skill HZ Memory.

All was bought when the Core 2 Duo was released and worked fine and been running overclocked at 3.3ghz no problems.

But in the last week or so, when you turn on it stops at the initial memory check displaying half the numbers which make up the memory total, even down to half an actual number. If you wait 2 mins it moves on all ok.

Then when coming to the detecting RAID disks, it finds the 1st disk within 5 seconds then pauses for upto a minute before the second is detected, when all this has happened it boots fine, no problems!!!!!

All of the above happens when running overclocked or stock.

I have cleared the CMOS, re-seated the memory and updated BIOS to F6 (Latest) but still the same.

It becoming very annoying now, a PII@450 could get into windows quicker than this from a power on!!!

Any ideas? Thanks.

Try swapping the RAM to eliminate..

...also try unplugging the IDE Drives etc... and see if this makes a difference.
