Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 Memory at 800 instead of 1066

I have recently purchased the spec in my sig. I can set the RAM settings on the board to 5-5-5-15 timings and +0.4v bringing to to 2.2v.

The CPU is running at 266 x 11 (stock) and the RAM at a 4x ratio (1066MHz).

Its rev2.1 board so i think the BIOS is most recent.

However if i boot in to any OS the ram shows as 800MHz, why is this? Why won't this board run the memory at 1066! It's frustrating the hell out of me (as you might imagine).

Can anyone offer any advice?

You may need to manualy change the speed in the BIOS to 1066mhz, what does CPU-Z show.

Its rev2.1 board so i think the BIOS is most recent.

rev has nothing to do with bios version. just do the bios upgrade
