A few weeks ago I was getting some weird problems with my computer, mainly locking up entirely after a few minutes (sometimes i couldn't even log to windows before it froze). I was advised that it was likely a RAM issue and since I dont have any spare RAM to test i thought i'd simply shift what i have to the other RAM slots on the board.

Thankfully, this worked and everything has been fine since. I've even started overclocking and whatnot with no problems (apart from my motherboards 420 FSB limit). I've run Memtest and whatnot and it passed with flying colours.

The reason i bring this up now is that i'm thinking of buy an Asus P5Q in order to OC beyond my current boards limitations and so i would naturally like to sell my current board but, of course, i cant do that knowing that one or possibly two of the RAM slots are faulty.

I bought the board from OCUK in Jan of 09 and i was wondering what the situation was in terms of warranty (the gigabyte website just say contact the place you bought it)?

Thanks

The board is still under warranty you will have no problem with Gigabyte when you RMA the board. If within the first year then you go to the retailer - give OCUK a call to confirm - and if over 1 year then contact them direct. Really helpful and a pleasure to do business with.
