Morning all,
Couple of months back I bought an quad core overclocked bundle from overclockers; and it had been working fine thank-you-very-much.
Went to turn it on last sunday and it appears to be very much dead.
Press the power button, and it just sits there, nothing on the monitor, CPU+case fans spinning, all the Phase LEDs lit, power state at S0, but not much else. It would then switch itself off after about 5 seconds, and then back on again,,,endlessly.
I've tried removing everything (cards, RAM, CPU) and putting it back one by one hoping it would spring back to life, but that had no effect.

I have removed the battery from the board, and once I put it back in and switched on the PC all the blue warning LEDs across the board lit up for a few seconds and went out. Now the all the fans spin, all the Phase LEDs are lit, power state at S0, BUT it doesn't automatically reboot.

I sent a support request via the Gigabyte website, but it had remained unopened since.
So I'm hoping one of you knowledgeable lot will be able to tell me if the board is indeed dead, so I can start the painful process of warranty replacement.

much thanks!

The original thing sounds like shorting have you tried it outside the case?
The main thing here is have you done a clear CMOS? If not look it up in mobo manual and perform this
You can try booting just the mobo with nothing at all in, see if it gives you the error code for no CPU, if it does put CPU back in and reboot, see if it gives you RAM error, if so put in one stick of RAM and try reboot, if you still get a RAM error try the other stick, if it goes past this stage add your gfx card and reboot, finally if you can add HDD, if at any stage it fails you know its that component. If it doesnt give first error beeps or still gets no where its likely to be either the mobo or possibly the PSU
Good luck
