Hi I have a Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H

Now this is not new but has never been used.

I have a G3258 (MM purchase) installed and 8GB of Ram (MM purchase), RM850 PSU with was taken from my main rig 4 weeks ago so was working fine then.

When I switch on the fans come on and then the motherboard short beeps for 10 seconds and then restarts, rinse and repeat,

This beeping is not in the Gigabyte list of beep codes.

I have removed the memory around and even removed it, reset the bios reseated the CPU. All give the same result.

Any ideas?

Work from the basics(barebones), no HDDs/expansion cards/other additions, no GPU, just PSU and memory and use just a single stick or ram, test it in each slot, then test the other stick independantly also.

Well single stick works but adding a second in A3 or B4 causes the issue.

However one stick in A1 and one in B3 works and shows as duel channel in the bios....

So yeah a bit messed up as they seems the channel slots are mixed up.

Anyway thanks for the help and I will now find a HD and a GFX card to finish this little build £80 build off.
