Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 Sound issue

2nd Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 i have installed for family and again i have to use a separate sound card!

I install Realtek drivers for on board sound but it still says hardware / drivers not installed! Tried downloading latest drivers but still no joy! No sound at all unless i use a separate card! Anyone able to help?

have you tried Realtek drivers ver. R2.09 from www.realtek.com.tw ?
i remember it was some issue with some of realtek sound drivers which required some Microsoft patch to be installed earlier
