Have a the following components:

GA-P35-DS3L mobo
Intel Core 2 Duo E7200
Corsair Memory TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2x1GB
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 heatsink & fan

Have gone straight in at 3.8ghz

CPU 9.5x
Frequency 401mhz
Memory Multiplier 2.5 (lowest!?)
1.4 Vcore

with the above settings my corsair ram is running at 1003mhz, the 2.5 multiplier is the lowest i can get it, on my other mobo Abit IP35 Pro, i could set it to 1:1, but cant on this mobo is running at this speed for the memory ok?

Is there any settings in the BIOS that i should disable?, i notice that it wants to do a lot of the voltages for you itself, which im not too pleased about. I had to change the, DDR2 OverVoltage Control to +0.4v to get the bios to set the corsair ram to its correct rating 2.1, which its slightly over that at about 2.114

Anythiny else i need to adjust?

There should be a x2.0 memory multiplier. Press enter on the option and go both up and down the sub-menu til you find it.

And +0.4v for the memory is 2.2v. The default is 1.8v.

On the list for the memory Multiplier it has Auto and then the next one down is 2.5, im using the F8 BIOS (latest). I also cannot see a fan speed option within the BIOS, only Smart fan, i wanted to set it up so when the temp of the cpu gets to a certain level then the fan kicks in full speed but cant seem to find anything like that. Also whats the best to stress test Prime95 or Super IP 1.5 now a days, was back in december when i OC my last CPU

There is 2.0 .... just look for it carefully. There is 2.40 as well.

If not try to put it on auto and check what it sets,

Make sure you set your timings manually.

Yeah found it now, for some reason 2.0 isnt before 2.5, its in between 3.00 and 4.00, for some strange reason. New problem, i haven't changed any other settings apart from the vcore and setting ram to 2.0, but now when i run prime95 or orthos the cpu doesnt go above its standard 2.5ghz value. What would cause the cpu not to raise to the 3.8 i have it set as in the BIOS, everything in the bios is enabled that should be?

EDIT: I have Vcore set to 1.3 btw

If you have speedstep and C1E enabled - disable them.

Did you put your CPU FSB on auto by mistake maybe ? ;)

Strange, just powered up the system look in the BIOS all settings correct havent changed anything from last time, boot windows up and CPU running at 3.8GHz! Now trying 3.8GHZ @ 1.36250 Volts
