Ok so I have one of these boards, and im using an XFI Xtreme Music, however im not sure where to plug in this adaptor thing from my case for the sound. Id like to plug my headphones/mic into the top of the case rather than into the XFI ports at the back.

I dont have the manual for my board, so if anyone has one and could possibly take a picture of where the wire plugs in, i would be very greatful :D

thanks

Connecting front panel headphones/mic means getting pin layouts for both your case and the xtrememusic and then matching them up, wire by wire. It's dodgy, doesn't work to well and if your case has a solid block connector (rather than individual wires) you're screwed.

Plugging the adaptor from the case into the motherboard is easy once you've found the right pins, but then you can't use your xfi... Creative want you to buy their ugly expensive front panel it seems.

I have a number of Creative cards and they all pretty much require the Front panel Im afraid.. although I do use them and I find them to be great.

I have read fairly recently actually, that if you have a creative card with the thin white connection on it ( Some do, some dont ) then this does provide the required pins.

Again, some of mine do and some dont, but as I have the LiveDrives anyway, I have never tried this out.
