Hi all. Was wondering if anyone has heard or seen any reviews of this motherboard and what the iP35 may stand for?

I am upgrading a 4600x2 system to a conroe 6750 based system and was looking for a motherboard to base it on. Had a look at the EVGA 650i, but from the board layout, it looks as though the 1 ide port would be blocked by my 8800 gtx (correct me if this is not the case).

Any comments appreciated:)

More than happy with this mobo, will take the E6750 to 3.8GHz; Tuniq tower fits and 8800GTS just covers some of the SATA ports - but I use angled cables:).

If buying this board again, for the extra £ or so I'd get the DS3.

Just my thoughts.

Sorry but.... why? 2.75 Ghz Athlon X2 to E6750?..... :(

To answer your question, afaik the only difference is that the S3 has some regular caps, otherwise it is the same PCB and BIOS.

Cheers for the info peeps.

Think it's time for me to upgrade as I'm on a socket 939 system at the moment and with the semi-decent prices you can get on a certain online auction site (for s939 x2 cpus and DDR ram) I thought might as well bite the bullet and make the change.

I'm pretty sure (hoping anyway!) I'll be able to clock the E6750 higher than 2.75ghz and with DDR2 ram prices as low as they are, I think it makes sense (as well as getting more from my 8800GTX).

Think I'm gonna take Topitoff's advice and go for the DS3....thanks again.

I meant that for the price (£200?) of the mobo, RAM and E6750 it isn't (in my opinion :p) much of an upgrade.

I'd at least wait and see what happens Nov - Jan before I changed anything.
