Hi i ve got :

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R v2.1 F12E
4x1gb GeIL PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC)
PSU : 600W OCZ
CPU : Q6600

And i cannot boot the system with four of them installed. Its only booting with 2x1 GB in dual channel.
I ve tried M(C)SH +3v , and memory is on 2.1v , but no succes any advice?

Test each module individually and see if they all boot. One of the sticks might be faulty and this will help you to determine which one it is. If thats the case RMA the RAM.

i had other issues with the F12 bios around poor clocking etc. Dropped back to F11 bios instead. Not sure if that is an issue or not.

What exactly happens on boot? I'm having problems with bad boots with that combination whilst overclocking. Slackening my RAM timings to CAS5 etc. sorted it out for now, though it still happens sometimes. I'm on F10.

Really? I'm about to try this. My system has been running 2x1gb + e2140 @ 3.2ghz for over a year with no issues. About to try with 4 x 1gb.

Mine's fine as long as you don't try to overclock it seems. As soon as I increase the FSB, even by a tiny bit, I can get problems, despite the system being more than stable at 3.6.

hmm that's strange, I have this mobo (not sure which revision) and it took 4x1gb of that geil stuff with no problems, i'm on bios f10. I had this problem on an old p31-ds3l though, sorry I can't be of much help.

The memory controllers are normally much more picky with amd CPUs and motherboards... But i would imagine that it's a similar case for your intel board, not too happy running all four slots with ram.
Especially since you're trying to overclock this ram... as far as i know it is more demanding voltage wise on your memory controller. So you may need to run the ram on slightly higher voltage than with 2 DIMMs.
But obviously i don't think you want to over-volt them too much.

You can play with the voltages until the cows come home ( or you kill something)
I ended up giving up and using 2 x 2G
I could get 3 working , but 4 was 1 mem stick too far for them

I even tried under clocking them ( wouldnt play ball at stock - so OCing was out of the question )

I've tried to do a 4 x 1gb setup with that exact ram in the past, and failed. I in the end gave up, sold 1gb modules off and bought a 2 x 2gb G.Skill kit.
It might be the only way if you crave more memory...

I have a revision 2.0 of this board and it had ran perfectly well with 4x1GB Geil PC6400 sticks (same as the OP) of memory for ages, with zero problems. I ran my E2180 at 3.2Ghz with that setup.

The 4x1GB sticks have now gone to my HTPC and are still running great in another gigabyte board - a GA-E7AUM-DS2H using the built in NVidia 9400 IGP.

I would just check the memory for problems, as suggested. IIRC I did increase the VDD to +0.3v. No other voltages were increased, apart from the v-core.

I have never bothered to update the BIOS to 12E - a beta BIOS, as it doesn't seem to offer anything that I need and my board runs well :)
