I just bought a system and I'm trying to overclock a little with it. it has the F2 bios but i can't really get to a stable one. Can anyone pls help? maybe you managed to. I was trying to get ram @ 1800MHz 9-9-9-24 bit no luck at any voltage and timings.

here's the specs:

Core i5 750
G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB 1600MHz CL9 (red)
Gigabyte GS-P55-USB3 (F2 Bios)
PowerColor HD5770*
Xilence 700w
Coolermaster HAF 922

* I didn't receive any limited edition items as stated.

good case choice. First of all id recommend updateing the BIOS. Gigabyte have released a few more versions the latest being f9 (if my memory doesn't decieve me). This can help stabilityasthe update has a bit for the framework for windows OS's. If your with vista or later your could cheat and use the ready boost technology to get more RAM space. It would be useful if you could post a table with the values you have already tried.

there is only F3 after the F2 i have. I have couldn't get more than 1650mhz @ 1.65v and 9-9-9-28. no meter what voltages i increase. (QPI etc..)

I don't have the pc anymore. (its a build for a friend of mine) but I know all the settings by heart. most of them are on Auto. including voltages, timings and multipliers
