Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 compatability?

As Daegan's link shows, it will work fine for the CPU part.

However, if you were planning to use the integrated graphics on the chip, then you will need a H55 or H57 board. If you are using discrete graphics, then this won't matter.

ok thanks for that...now just got to decide wether to get an i3 and get my build up and running sooner or wait and get an i5 ??

+i dont need the graphics bit, if i do get it that is.

What will you be using the system for and will you be overclocking?

In most cases, I wouldn't suggest using the Dual core i5s, as the IGP will be unused and they cost as much as an i5 750. However, if you are considering the i5 750 quad core, then I believe it is worth the extra if you can stretch to it.

well it will be used for general use, light picture editting, films, music, gaming(crysis etc.) and overclocking/watercooling.
but i dont know whether to wait about 3-4 weeks and get an i5 750 as i have a phenom 9850 x4 atm and ive overclocked that a bit but i dont see the point in trying to get it better and spend money on that when i could go for a new build thats a lot better.
