Hey there,

Does anybody know this motherboard well? ive just installed one and im trying to figure out how i can control my case fans using speedfan?

According to the spec this mobo has 3 fan headers that can be variable output. Ive got a cooler master cosmos 1000 case which also has the optional hard drive bracket installed. The fans i use are Scythe gentle typhoons 1850rpm's (2 top case, 1 rear, 1 on bottom bringing air in firing at mobo, and 1 on the hard drive bracket. 5 fans total)

After some trial and error I have got 2 of the fan headers (the pwm 4 pin) to have variable output and as a result i have connected my top 2 case fans to one of those (cpu header), and the rear and bottom fan to the other. I have connected my noctua nh-p12 fan to one of the system headers running 100% all the time.

That still leaves the fan on the hard drives to be variable, but i have that connected to the pwr fan header which is 100% all the time though i have one of those connectors, is it LNDA or something? that you get with noctuas to reduce speed which is not ideal as i'd like to be able to control it in speedfan.

I've tried all the other fan headers and adjusting settings in speedfan etc but i can't figure out which is the 3rd fan header that can be variable output? Is there a bios update needed to enable the other fan header? ive updated to F3 by the way. Also running 2 of those fans on 1 header should be ok shouldn't it? i believe they draw 1w each at full output but i have them set at 60% most the time otherwise they do my head in after a while lol.....
