Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 USB 3.0 problem

Hi eveyone it's been a long time since I've been on these forums, lots of years lol anyway I came back as I always got great advice.
My son has as his main rig
I7 2600k stock
Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3 REV1.0 MOBO
16 gskill ripjaws 2133 mhz at 1600 mhz(stock
Rx 480 8gb (stock)
Oculas rift
The problem is as my son has received an oculas rift for Xmas he has discovered that his USB 3.0 ports are only getting recognised by windows 10 as 2.0 thus giving him bandwidth problems I've installed a pci ex USB 3.0 card but he still seems to get problems with one of the sensors regardless of the configuration of the oculas USB connections. I know I can plug one into USB 2.0 but then the other sensor has probs.
I think it may be a USB 3.0 driver problem or a z68 chipset driver problem but there are no drivers on the gigabyte website for Windows 10 (64)
Any help would be appreciated thanks

My son tested the ports and it was working earlier this year on his USB 3.0 SanDisk 64gb memory stick he was achieving 117 mbs when transferring a video file to the pc desktop. I've tried uninstalling the z68 drivers and the USB 3.0 drivers but they get replaced with a reboot and the problem stays
