Hi All,
This is my very 1st post so be gentle.
I have a issue with my Gigabyte Motherboard. Well at least I'm assuming it's my Motherboard.
I have just purchased a nearly new Kraken x61 CPU cooler for my set up and a Cooler Master Cosmos 2 case.
I moved everything into my new case switched on and everything worked and was recognised. I then switched on my pc the next day and my Kraken x61 started running at full speed and the software decided it couldn't detect the cooler anymore.
To make matters worse my XFX R7970 double disaptation graphics card isn't recognised anymore. I've tried everything to get my motherboard to detect but still nothing. Everything is plugged into the right places. I've also updated and downgraded my bios and installed a fresh windows 64 bit. Any help would be appreciated! This issue is driving me mad now.. my rig is on my profile if anyone needs.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance ☺

Thanks wazza300. I will try that out now and let you know how I get on. Am I best off flashing with q flash?

Hi wazza300,
I have updated my bios to f20e now and my motherboard now recognises my gpu but the Kraken cam software still isn't detected the cooler so I can't slow it down or change its colour. I've just pulled the cmos battery out now so will let you know 8n 15mins

looked online for latest kraken software? could try that

(if you've got easytune installed try uninstalling that,if you don't have easytune installed then nevermind) it might be interfering in some way

I think I have easy tune installed. Will get rid of that too. Yeah I checked Kraken website and installed the latest version

I've uninstalled Easy Tune now. My Kraken still can't be seen by the CAM software but my gpu is working now. This is baffling lol!

idk what else you could try, could try controlling the fan speed from within the bios see if that helps

its something silly if it was working fine before

For some reason I can't find them in the bios Anybody have any suggestions as to what this could be? Or had a similar problem. Should I just upgrade?

Thanks Stulid will check that setting and report back. Do you know where or what drivers the usb headers are kept within windows? I was thinking if I uninstall them it might pick the kraken up.. I've tried all 3 usb headers but it still isn't detecting

Tried that method but still nothing (plug in, plug out). I only can see usb 3 drivers on the link you sent. Is there no usb 2 ?

USB2 driver should be part of the operating system install and dont need any "drivers" added to make function.

i was wondering if I can somehow find them and disable, then start them back up it might see the kraken. When I uplug it and replug it, it just makes the light come on and off. I also tried turning the speed down in the bios which hasnt done anything

When things are this bad i go for the brute force approach and would reinstall and start from scratch.
