Hey guys, Ok im thinking of purchasing one of these boards but there seems to be a few on here who have had various problems with them.Should i buy one? or is there a more reliable board for around the same money?
Thanks in advance
Matt

Yes mate read them and its putting me off a bit  i guess your advice would be to definately not buy one then? :D

well tbh I don't know for certain that it is my mb causing the problems, so it'd be hard to say, but If I was building a system now, I wouldn't get one purely to rule out the chance.

Yantorsen, did you ever get a thorough explanation of why your RMA was rejected when you are so certain that the mobo's the problem?

22B, the Asus P5K would be a good substitute. Check it out.

RMA was accepted in the end, sent back the mb, hdd, cpu, and ram, they sent it all back but with a new hdd.

I'm still getting the exact same problems with the new hdd though :(

only problem ive had with this mobo is when i updated the bios it messed up the boot for windows xp/vista for some reason so i had to swapthe sata wires to get the drives back up never lost any deta

found it to be a solid mobo nice overclocking :)

Its a good board and really easy to overclock, the ones that Ocuk are shipping, are the revision 2 with the F4 bios.

Very good board for the money, built one for my mate last weekend with a Q6600, clocked it straight to 3400 (8X425) with under 1.3v.

Thanks! which one would you go for Billy? You did originally recommend the ds3r to me a week or two back. You seem to know what your talking about so your advice is most welcome.I just want my new system to start up properly when i build it at christmas as there's nothing more disheartening than having a duff build as a lot on here would testify.

I'd still take the P35C DS3R. It's a mobo with a lot of nice features and it overclocks very well. There indeed have been some quality issues but the vast majority of owners haven't had a lick of problems with it. I think it's a good motherboard at a good price. :)

Thanks again! Oky ill stick to the original plan and hold you completely responsible if things go titts up :D only kidding:D

I dont think you would have any regrets with the P35C DS3R. I've had mine for a couple of months now, no problems whatsoever. Build quality certainly seems very good.

I have had 2 so far

Rev 1.1
and
Rev 2

I did not like either and dont rate it

FYI rev 2 has no comm port or printer port adapter ( its an optional extra )
