Gigabyte GTX 1080 FE - Screen flickering

Hi all

Been happy with my new GPU so far but the last day or so it has started exhibiting some strange issues - posting here in case anyone else experiences similar as I've read anecdotally online of a few other cases.

Completely randomly, on either of my 2 displays (ruling out cable/monitor hardware issue), the screen will flicker, with varying regularity. I've snapped a slow-mo video of it occurring on Screen 1:

It occurs at 00:11 and 00:31

Quite concerning as the card is only a few weeks old, and it's running the latest drivers etc.

What do you think - RMA?

I had a similar problem which turned out to be the DVI cable. I changed the cable and make sure i tightened both ends properly and that fixed it.

I have had an issue were the screen turns solid blue and I have had to hard reset. It is not a BSOD just solid blue screen.

This is a known issue that nVidia are aware of, hopefully a fix will appear soon or I'll have to consider sending my MSI 1080 back. In the meantime dropping the refresh from 144 to 120 seems to help but thats far from acceptable for such an expensive card. Still we'll give nVidia some time in the hope they resolve it.

Drop the refresh rate to 120hz.

This morning my 1080 decided to have idle clocks at 202 again, not the usual 1227 (had it last night), and had to drop again the refresh rate to 120

Is a know issue since May and only 368.xx didnt had this bug......
And after that some cry that AMD has bad drivers.............
