Gigabyte GTX 970 corruption on boot

Hello,
I'm having problems with my new GTX 970. The screen is completely corrupted upon booting. I can access the BIOS screen just fine but trying to get Windows or Linux booted past GRUB bootloader isn't possible.

My computer also seems so be VERY slow at booting now ever since installing the card.

Can anyone help me?

Have you updated to the latest mobo bios?

the latest BIOS for my botherboard is a beta from January this year. I'm not sure how I feel about updating to a beta BIOS but if it comes to it, I'll give it a go.

OK I went ahead, crossed all my fingers and updated to F20e BIOS and everything now works A-OK. Thanks very much for your advice.
