Gigabyte K8VT800 Urgent Help Needed

Hi

I need some Urgent help, I have just upgraded my m8's bios and I have put the bios on for version 2 as thats what he told me it was but the motherboards is version 1

Now it just boots up but the monitor wont come on

Is there any way I can put the correct version on it from a boot up disk without needing the monitor on?

Are you sure it is booting up? Are you hearing any beeps from the speaker? If you are just get the fans powering up and nothing else you have probably knackered the bios. I presume you have already tried clearing the bios by shorting out the jumper and removing the battery.

Gigabyte boards are usually supposed to have a dual bios system to help recover from a bad flash, check the manual.

If not, you might have to have your bios chip reflashed which should be about 20 quid or so.
