Hey guys,
I'm upgrading my HTPC so I bought a Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H motherboard for it. This board has onboard Geforce 7100 graphics with DVI, D-Sub and HDMI output.
I don't plan to use the HDMI output, I don't even have a display that supports 1080p.
I installed the motherboard and hooked the system up to a keyboard and 720p HDTV via the D-Sub connection. The system booted up fine in terms of beeps and whatnot and even got as far as reading the OS disc, but I got no display.
1.) I got out a DVI-VGA converter and plugged it into the onboard DVI port, no display. 2.) I lugged the HTPC upstairs and connected it to my monitor, no display. 3.) I put a spare 7300GS into the machine, no display.
Everything apart from the display seems to be working fine from what I can tell in terms of audio clues. The CPU and fan power up, the hard disk powers up, the OS install CD is read etc. I've checked through the manual and on the board itself for any sorts of jumpers but there's nothing. There is simply no display, all displays stay on standby.
Do you guys think that the onboard graphics chip may be faulty?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Sincerely,
Ulfhedjinn.
