Gigabyte M28U limited to 4:2:0 in 4K/120hz. Will it make a difference?

I’m thinking of buying one of these. The main use will be for a PS5, but it’s limited to 4:2:0 on that console because of HDMI bandwidth limitations. Will it make much difference? Kind of seems pointless getting HDMI 2.1 only to have this trade off.

You will be hard pushed to notice a difference especially for console gaming. text can suffer a little bit a 4:2:0 but for console gaming i would say it will still look great.

M28U uses 24gbs HDMI 2.1 with DSC but as you may know the PS5 does not yet currently support DSC.

I believe this is a ps5 limitation so your choice of monitor doesn't matter

If you want 4:4:4 you can change the color from 10bit to 8bit
