Hey,
just picked up a M32U and i've hit a problem. Well two problems, the 1st was that it would not power on, but I had a spare power lead and this worked, or perhaps it may be linked to problem two? Which is, when I turn it to HDR mode (4k 144hz) and watch video etc it cuts in and out, constantly losing signal and has greyish 'interference' lines across the horizontal.
I've tried both the Dp and Hdmi cables provided and my own Dp cable. Problem persists.
I updated the driver and firmware. The firmware seemed to help a bit, it still cuts out etc but not as much- still way too much to be usable.
Whilst googling for solutions I came across a post mentioning that it needs to use DSC (compression) for the full 4k 144hz, otherwise it's only natively capable of 120hz. So I haven't done much testing yet, but running at 120hz seems to solve the issue.
THe specs on Gigabyte site:
My question is how does DSC work? I can't find it as an option to turn on anywhere and i'm assuming it's something that is built in and works automatically with the correct cables and hardware.
Running windows 10. Ryzen 3800x, Red devil 6700xt. Adrenaline 22.5.1
I did notice this in the known issues for 22.5.1 driver: 'Display may flicker black during video playback plus gameplay on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon™ RX 6700 XT.' Could this also be a problem?
I swear I have no luck with monitor shopping lol
