Edit: I found a fix for Batman AC mouse sensitivity, I think that was the missing link here. I should be able to live with the mouse @ 400dpi on desktop and use on the fly DPI to 2000DPI in games and adjust ingame sensitivity accordingly (all with no mouse acceleration). IIRC this is what I did before the G5.

I have been using logitech since the G5 and I had a G500 + RMA replacment (which is now losing track so useless). I went back to the G5 but recently bought a G6900 on today only.

The Gigabyte software (peripheral_utility_mouse_m6900_2.01) is missing the extra sensitivity dial in the logitech setpoint & also the fine tuning of DPI. Its only option is to go from 400 - 3600DPI in 400DPI steps. I tried using the windows mouse slider found in the control panel and could sucessfully get a sensitivity to my liking in 1)firefall (excellent range of sensitivity via ingame slider) 2) Battlefield heroes (not as great to fine tune and had to drop to 800DPI. 3)Borderlands 2, I was playing while I could not customise it as easily as the Setpoint software (can't believe I'm praising that software, I have had issues with it in the past)

Then I tried Batman Arkham City which has absolutely no ingame sensitivity slider and found it unplayable.

Then I googled and found an executable designed to give no mouse acceleration and 1 to 1 mouse movement -> cursor movement. I can now play Batman AC at only 400 DPI to get an acceptable turn rate, also I am bound to 400 DPI on the desktop.

This isn't a rant I'm looking for possible answers, although I think I'm one of a small band who likes low sensitivity/ High DPI settings.

So this is the program I mentioned and a post I left for the author:

My problem is I'm used to logitech software and I've got a Gigabyte G6900 now. I am used to being able to scale the sensitivity with a windows like slider in Logitech Setpoint and fine tune it with DPI settings. I never had to touch the windows mouse sensitivity.

Now the Gigabyte software does not have that functionality to scale with first a slider then the DPI settings. It can only set the DPI settings.

When on the desktop I needed to set the windows setting to 2/11 while using 2000DPI or 3/11 using 1600DPI without the fix. Now with the fix applied the unchecked EPP (Enhanced Precision Pointer aka acceleration) state is far too slow regardless of DPI and I had to set 400 DPI in Batman Arkham City to get a slow enough turn.

It used to be relatively simple to set any game up to one full swipe of the mouse pad would result in 405 degrees rotation (so with the mouse in the middle of the mat I could easily do a 180).

What ideally I would need is a switch where out of game EPP being off would make the sensitivity higher and then in game the sensitivity would be a lot lower with EPP on.

I know that this was not the aim of the program, but would this be possible?

It sucks that I am using 400 DPI in both Batman AA and on desktop while I have a 3600DPI mouse with this fix and without it; I could not find a setting for Batman AA which had low enough sensitivity. In fact at its worse I can slide my mouse from one side of the mat to the other and get 20 revolutions in game.
