Gigabyte motherboard owners Help Please

Hi all,

I recently had my Z170X Gaming G1 replaced because the fan control didn't work with a Z270X Gaming 9 however the replacement didn't have any of the accessories that would come with a retail board, it didn't even have the ek badge!

The new board has Thermistor connections and I can make up the cables with the thermistors at work however I don't know the specification of the thermistors. I would purchase them if I could find some to buy.

Does anyone know the spec of the thermistors or is anyone able to measure them, I need to know if they are NYC or PTC and the resistance at about 25c?

Alternatively could someone let me borrow one of theirs so I can take the measurements and return it?

These are black wires included with some gigabyte z270 and x299 motherboards and have 12cf1-1tm001-01r on the packaging

Also the white usb port that is used for q flash plus doesn't seem to turn off. I have my mouse plugged into this port and it's led doesn't turn off. Is this normal?

If I plug a external hard drive into this port the led stays on but the is can't see the drive. I currently have xhci handoff set to disable but I am not sure if this is correct for win 10.

Hello Matty,

We arranged to send out the RGB extension cable to you already before we knew that you were missing everything else. We have a staff member in your area tomorrow who can hand deliver the accessories. That should include the Thermistirs too, let me know if some one will be in tomorrow to except the delivery.

Hi, unfortunately there won't be anyone in until 15:30. There might be someone in at no. 37 because they work from home.

My work is in Manchester near old Trafford football ground if that is any help.

Friday would be fine, your colleague could just leave the parts in the shed if it is more convenient.
