Gigabyte P35C new bios

These are the results I posted in the Gigabyte P35 BIOS thread over at XS for the new beta for my P35 DS3P-

Hey guys i just flashed F7b for my DS3P and-

- The PC Health menu now lists the actual current voltages for vcore, memory, +3.3v and +12v.

-The memory timings are now split into two sections, one for the main four and one for the sub-timings. I've no issue running the Turbo and Extreme options, tho I didn't try F6 and don't know if I would have had any issues selecting those options in F6 like a few others have had.

-Vdroop and vdrop is now less. With 1.5325 set in BIOS I was getting 1.49v at idle and 1.46v under load according to Everest. Now I'm getting 1.50v at idle and 1.49v under load.

-Disabling Hyperthreading also disabled one of my cores. Re-enabling it allowed access to all four cores.

Iam liking it , I was putting +0.4V on my ram ( which was too high )
Now I can read the actual voltage in Bios I use +0.3V which gives me 2.25V
The voltage when using normal ( auto) gives 2.38V which is way too high for my ram

All tho , I still cant get 4 gig of ram to run on this board :-(

thanks mate will update with it then......... i think it is a well known fact that these boards overvolt memory....

Any other things you noticed?

Is there better vdroop etc? Ive heard other giga boards have better.

Sorry to hear about ure 4gig prob still

i have the same board, and i had issues using 4GB of ram untill i increased the northbridge voltage by .1V (its something like (G)MCH in the bios)

updated last night and noticed even with memory voltage at normal (+0v) it was saying 2v in bios....... +0.1 was 2.01 and +0.2 was 2.15 - so be careful.

Also can others please confirm if it comes up with verifying DMI Pool data every time you boot now.

Memory , I assume your ram has 1.8V taged against it in the spd table ?
This board shoves nearly .2v higher into the ram than it should , my ram had 2.2v in spd
the mobo on auto ram V set it to 2.38V , weird

DMI update every boot = yes
