Gigabyte P35X v4 Power supply

Hello all,

My laptop power supply has failed and I was wondering if anyone had ever found anywhere that sells replacements.

It is a Delta Electronics Inc ADP-180MB H

Amazon lists one but it is unavailable.

It has failed after 6 months and although still under warranty it is my only computer so I don't have time to send it away and wait for it to be tested and then a replacement sent.

It's also the same reason I didn't send it back when two keys fell off in January.

I love the laptop's performance but am disappointed with the build quality!!!

Regarding the keys, these dont generally "fall off" in our experience. If you need to send back in to have keyboard replace then please also speak with them about this..

Sorry to sound so negative I really do love the laptop and have always liked Gigabyte products, but the two keys did just fall off, I managed to clip them back on but one of them will lift at one side as if it is on a hinge.

The issues I have with the power supply might not be as simple as I thought so I fear I might have to send the laptop for repair just in case it is not the power supply.

Do I have to contact Gigabyte for a warranty claim number or can I just contact Mendit.

Hello Gigabyte Rep's,

I am in need of more advice.

I did send the laptop to MendIt who replaced the Keyboard and Motherboard assembly.

I received my laptop back after 6 weeks to find that it constantly reboots, after speaking to MendIt tech team we have come to the conclusion that the new motherboard or GPU is faulty.

I am really not happy about going without my laptop for another large length of time as it is my only computer.

Is there grounds for a full replacement or a refund as I have no faith in this laptop now?
 
Ok, so under instruction from Gigabyte support, MendIT once again collected my laptop so that their technician could have a look at it.

It returned a week later with a repair slip saying the BIOS and graphics driver had been updated.

After switching on the laptop it has the same BIOS and graphics driver it left with and still reboots whenever the GPU kicks in.

I mean seriously how hard is it to test the fault it was sent in with. It only took the time it takes to open Geforce experience to make it reboot the laptop.

Gigabyte, where do I go from here? Also I would seriously reconsider MendIT as a competent repair company.

Bad form from Gigabytes repair company here. Nothing worse than not being without a device you paid good money for, for a length of time.

The thread was made mid Feb, almost 3 months and no fix!!

Yeah I know, worst part is that it's my only computer.

I just hope it can be resolved quickly now !!!
