I think this is the right section, or would it be better in the mobo section?

I just did my build, with the Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 Rev 1 and cannot access the internet, due to the following message I get when installing the latest driver - Realtek Network Controller not found, if deep sleep mode enabled, please plug the cable.

It doesn't appear in Device Manager, so I have disabled it in bios, gone into Windows, removing the driver, rebooting and enabling it again, but it still doesn't appear.

I have removed the ram and GPU, unplugged the power cord and left it for a few hours, which remedies the problem for some people, but not me.

If I don't get this sorted very soon, I might as well RMA the thing, but I'd rather not have to rebuild it again if I can.

Cheers.

Thanks for the replies.

I installed everything on the CD twice and that all went well, but the controller still doesn't appear in Device Manager.

I have already disabled in bios, removed the driver, then re-enabled, no joy either.

I tried reinstalling Windows 7, no joy yet again.

Here's what Gigabyte told me to do:

Please try to reset the CMOS -
1) Disconnect the power cord from the power supply. Remove the CMOS battery (the flat silver disk) from the motherboard using a srew drive or similar implement. Leave it out for a minute or two, then replace it and power on the system. The BIOS settings should have been reset, allowing the computer to boot.
2) Go into the BIOS - “Load optimized default”
3) Save settings and exit.
4) If this doesn’t work then try "Load Failsafe default"

Please download and reinstall the LAN driver on this link.

Did that, no joy yet again.

Bored with all this now, so it's going back. Cheers for the help though, but after 5 days of this, I'm bored senseless.
