Just wondering, with anyone else here with a Gigabyte P67A-UD4, just what channels do the dual RAM sticks go into for dual channel RAM? Is it both channels next to each other or what?

Here's a pic of my PC when I first built it a few weeks back (cable management has been sorted now ;) ) but since both my RAM is on the left sockets, is this correct for it being in dual channel?

Also, CPU ID isn't listing it as Dual Channel. I've tried the RAM in slots:

1,2
1,3
2,4

and I always get this:

Is this just CPU-ID's fault or do I need to enable anything in the bios for it to work?

Put your ram in the slot closest to the CPU. Miss one and put the remaining stick in to the next one.

1 0 1 0 with the 1's representing slots with ram in them.

Reboot.

You will then have dual channel.

Yup, that's what I have now. In slows 1,3 I believe. So regardless of what CPU-ID says I now have dual channel ram?

Yes - that is correct.

If you want to make 100% certain I would suggest going into BIOS and selecting default settings. F10 and enter.

Once in OS use the latest version of CPU-z I have a link to the download in one of my threads here. You will then see Dual Channel for your ram.
