Dear Ehehei, I credeati that the monster was tired and retreated into the world of articles about was relaxing although motherboards and USB sticks, while my fellow distinsii and Ramiro destrabaleaza Matose is same and chip in with a bunch of goodies AMD graphic mark? Yes, sure, to play and to have fun with the new and overclockabile graphics boards, while Monster test USB sticks, right? Well ... not. Monster must train hard to monstruoasele articles on graphics boards which they will be published towards the end of March, and what training can be better than a new article about HD 7970, namely part IV (and last) of the epic, AMD Radeon HD 7970?

My colleagues have told you about the architecture, performance and overclocking and performance on multi-card does not hold to talk till the moment we do not have on hand and video cards of the competition, so I get to know another very interesting aspect, namely the way in which the new AMD processor architecture with scaleaza. That's a lot of work, thanks for the link although it was more to do CPU's then with video cards.

It was interesting seeing there's still some games that don't like AMD's new FX processors (in this case Lost Planet 2 but Crysis and Warhead as well seem to suffer) and I was surprised at how GPU dependant Shogun 2 Total War was. I have always expected Total War games to be more CPU dependant because with the ever increasing amount of units you can play with the CPU will have a harder time dealing with all the path finding and A.I instructions.
 
The Lost Planet results are soo.... hmm, suggestive of MASSIVE AMD sabotage. While in other games that are tough on cpu's an overclocked fx4100 can approach Intel's best because cpu limits come into play and it catches up in Lost planet Intel can run the game similar speed in 2core/2thread as maxed out, but AMD are 50% slower no matter what, which no other game shows that kind of difference?

I would put money on there being a flag in that game to detect AMD cpu's and run completely different code.

Crysis 2 Intel's best chip with cores turned off and the FX4100 beats it easily, and the FX4100 gets fairly close when overclocked to the Intel chip maxed out(its GPU limited there, I'm not saying the AMD chip is almost as fast), basically there is no issue in most games here.

But fully overclocked the fx4100 gets utterly spanked by a 2core/2thread Intel chip, which shows almost no speed difference between 2core/2thread vs stock in minimums. Which suggests the game really isn't heavily cpu limited though maxes are much more effected but still 4cores/4threads is enough to cpu limit the Intel chip.

The older ones were more CPU dependant, it's quite easy to cripple Rome Total Wars frames for example.
