I bought one of these last year and after seeing the Radeaon 7 launch yesterday am going to stick with it till navi.

I know that the card can run close on 1700Mhz mark but i need to watercool it.

Has anyone coverted one to watercooling?

Is is worth doing?

Does overclockers UK have what i would need to watercool it if it is worth doing?

Thank,

That's not a full cover block though. It's just a core only block with a dirty great heatsink that may or may not need a fan to keep it cool.

fine enough a while ago AMD bought a few tens to Hundreds of the units from alphacool for testing...

used from rx/vega/maxwell/pascal and Turing. all fine from personal use . Heat sink and GPU block all attached together as well so heat can also be transferred to the the waterblock section.

also the block will perform better for GPU die cooling due to it pretty much using CPU jet plate tech/fin density - BUT does cause bigger flow restriction then traditional full blocks from EKWB .

also base din germany so easier rma :)

thx,

looks like they have a new one? -> https://www.alphacool.com/shop/gpu-...xos-gpx-amd-rx-vega-m06-incl.-backplate-black

will this cool the memry though?

Ek has this -> https://www.ekfluidgaming.com/ek-fluid-gaming-a240r <- which looks interesting, but i am not sure that that rad will cool a vaga 64 OCed and a 2700x OCed to almost 4.3Ghz
Alphacool Nexxxos blocks use a modular core with plates fitted to individual models of card. Designated by the Mxx number. The M05 you linked is for Asus Strix cards.

Also worth considering that linking to competitors isn't allowed on the forum and I'd say a waterblock supplier counts as a competitor :)

I converted a reference Vega 64 and it was worth doing. Sits at 1700/1100.

Whether you want to just cool the card or install a custom loop for the whole rig is a whole other question though. As for blocks, I would try and find a Watercool Heatkiller IV or Aquacomputer Kryographics block. Cheaper, higher quality and better looking (imho) than the alphacool/EK blocks.

OCUK's AMD block selection is very poor/none existent though, so you would have to shop elsewhere for that. The rest you would need is easily attainable here tho.
