Any one give a rough idea of how long the turnaround is normally on a motherboard rma?
And yeah I know it's Xmas so going to be longer than usual just my luck

Yeah more of my luck then as it is a gigabyte board

Thanks for the immediate reply

Guess I may have to fork out for another board while waiting if its that long then

Id imagine roughly the same give a few days or so,gigabyte have offices in milton keynes

Wont ocuk offer refund and you order a new board?

No idea though used them for years never had to rma anything as far as I remember
Got a feeling they may test stuff before taking any action unlike most places
Since they have the facility and the staff and knowledge to do it
That's why I asked in here since they aren't open tomorrow

Thanks danny75
Had a feeling they may test returns
Double tested everything I can
Except the cpu as nothing else I can put a 3900x in to test
Far as I can tell anyway my nice new x570 board has given up the ghost after 4 days use

It's dead as a dodo
No fans spin
No leds light up
Disconnected everything like USB 3.0 headers etc one at a time
Still nothing
Took cmos battery out too
Just breadboarded it outside the case.. Luckily I put quick disconnects on my loop or would have had to drain the whole thing as well
But still same thing when it's outside the case

If nothing lights up on the board and youve tested with a second psu then yeah its dead, possible short? Or just a mb fault I reckon:(

Even bought a new psu
As my ax860i is getting old just in case it was passing the self test but was wonky on the 12v rail or something as
The self test might be basic and only load it with the fan
Not likely a short that's the reason to test it outside the pc case sitting on cardboard box
