So I am going to be RMAing this board soon, but thought it was worth asking here to see if anyone else has had the same trouble or knows about it.

So I go to turn my PC on, the little LED display on the motherboard shoots out a load of random numbers and letters (most relate to something in the booklet I got given with the motherboard) and I either get:

- No video out. Nothing. PC is on, but there is no one home.
- A light blue screen (not a BSOD) with nothing else on it.
- Gets to the splash screen for the mobo but then starts a boot loop and continues.

To "fix" the above, the only way I have found of making it work, is to turn the PC off, flick the switches for "duel/single bios" and "bios 1 or 2" both up, then, turn it back on.

Then you can get to my desktop. However, the next time you need to turn it on, you must to the same again but flick the switches down. Now, I have reflashed the bios (v5 atm I think) to the latest one to no avail. I've restored defaults to no avail . I've taken out the CMOS and all that jaz. No avail.

Just in case, current Spec:
Gigabyte SOC Z97
Intel G3258 "20th Birthday" K
4Gb Corsair Vengeance

Anyone have any suggestions? Rather not RMA it as it will leave me without a PC for a week or several.

Cheers,

Grady

Will give it a go tonight! See if it fixes things.

Have to say, this is the 2nd Giga board that has had some problems (well last one died a few days after warrenty...). Any idea how long GB RMA takes off the top of your head?

I thin k there turn around is around 3-5 days.

But these SOC and SOC Force boards are like Granite, is your RAM or PSU at fault?

I've not checked the RAM, but have some new stuff arriving tomorrow so can test that. I've used the PSU in another system and it worked okay, not sure how else to test the PSU?

Once I get to the desktop, everything is fine. Its just getting there...

I remember that the Corsair AX760i and 860i never use to work with these boards.

What PSU is it?

850RM corsair is my PSU.

Not sure how to do the dram stuff! (Probs shouldn't even have an soc board haha! I'm not too hot yet on OCing and the like). New RAM tomorrow though. So will see!

So i've updated to the F5 bios, couldn't see a F6. Seems to have solved it... but have only turned my PC on and off 5 or 6 times to test. Next day will tell!

Hi I'm interested in looking at posts that cover problems with the AX860 and AX860i.

Could you find me something to look at please as this might have something to do with a problem I had in the past, but want to read about it to save future problems occurring.

Thanks.
