I have updated my bios recently to F12 on the UD5 motherboard which was part of the OCUK overclocked i7 D0 4ghz package. I had made a note of the pre applied overclocker uk settings which i re applied. The system boots to windows fine and seems stable, however when cold booting it restarts a couple of times or i have to press restart and it resets the settings back to default.

:(

"*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 4.00GHz / Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard / Corsair 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle"

my ud3r does this. if u reset it seems to tell the mobo you are resetting the cmos. i just let my rig run through a couple of boot cycles and after about 30 secs it boot with the correct oc.

did it have the cold boot issue before you updated the bios?

are you sure you got all of the settings?

most people tend to miss out the 'Advanced CPU Features' screen

make sure your PCI-E Freq is at 101 and that the CPU Diff Amp is at 900Mv

this always seems to work well on the first revision UD5 [some boards dont like it though]
