Here's a bit of a design flaw. Gigabyte only let you create 2 disk raid0 on the 4 port hardware raid ports. So you have to have 2 x 2 drive in raid0 vs 1 x 4 drives in raid0.

Anyway know if this can be changed?

I believe that there are 2 seperate raid controllers for the 4 raid ports hence 2 drive raid 0

I would suggest that you use the intel sata ports for raid as the intel raid controller is the better performing one

blue is the intel ports
white is the G-RAID

blue is better generally as the software is the intel matrix storage

But blue is software raid not hardware raid? Surely hardware always beats software?

Oh and can you please take a look at my post in the Customer Service section. System wont run at 4ghz for me! :(

The Intel ICH10R and Gigabyte SATA2 (JMB322) are BOTH software RAID implementations, however, the Intel ICH10R is considerably better than the offering from jmicron...

If that's correct then I definately agree. The board indicates they hardware raid though???
