Hey guys,

Didnt get much response in another section, so hopefully GPU section will help..

Can someone please give me a good fan curve for the above GPU. Or recommendations at least.

Thanks.

You're better off just experimenting yourself. You're not going to break the card with ten or twenty minutes of messing with the fan curve and nobody can tell you what sort of fan noise you find acceptable. Put a benchmark like Heaven on loop in the background to warm the card up so you can adjust your speed to get it at your desired temperature. I'd go for 75 degrees or less personally, even though the reference cards run hotter than that (so it's "safe"). Then smooth out the curve below that so it doesn't ramp up too jarringly. Keep the Afterburner overlay on whilst gaming for a few hours/days afterwards with the fan RPM and temperature displayed so that you can keep an eye on things. If it's getting a little too hot or too loud, make some small adjustments until it's where you want it.

OK, thanks for the reply, one more quick q :) ..would it be ok to have the fan (for when idle) on low, say at 20-30% to keep idle temps down, rather than the fans kicking it at say.. 50/60%?

That's how i have mine....although i use headphones for gaming so don't hear it regardless. I know my idle speed is slightly higher than some, but i can barley here it in my evolv x case and the card idles at around 25'c Never see above 67'c whilst gaming.

Thanks for that, I would be tempted to increase my fan curve from 20% minimum to like 30-35 percent but my only issue is the fan livespan?

Im guessing it would make much difference no? And im assuming that any fan issue etc, would be covered by warranty anyways..?
