Hi All,

My Gigabyte Aorus Master is giving me a CPU error. The error code looks like 00 but is probably D0 which means CPU initialization error. The CPU LED is also lit.

I thought the CPU was dead, so decided that I'd upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 and then RMA the current one. I popped in the 5950X today (after flashing to the latest BIOS without a CPU installed) but still have the exact same issue.

This must mean that the motherboard is at fault right? When I apply power all the fans spin but nothing else happens (this happens as soon as the PSU switch is turned on without me pressing the power button on the board or case). The error code and CPU LED appear instantly.

I tried removing the cmos battery with no luck.

Thanks All!

I have a colleague with a 5900 and 5950 that both crash and have BSoD WHEA errors. My 5800X i can keep stable by ensuring only PBO active by default allowing it to run all cores at 4.9Ghz. Anything over this and my system becomes unstable.

Is it wirth asking if you have tried the F30 BIOS (F31q now removed) and possibly look to under clock the CPUs from BIOS Settings... I am no expert meerly sharing recent experiences sorry.

This may also be helpful.

Latest BIOS here, select from list. I used BIOS update in ASpp center once in Download folder to update system without issue.... time will tell if this final F31 version helps.
