Gigabyte X58 UD5 battery change help

Changed the battery as bios had the wrong date, settings not saving and random reboots.

However the system will no longer power on, I did everything as per the instructions but no joy.

Suggestions please, battery is the same CR2032, different brand but that doesn't normally matter.

Clear the CMOS again.

During battery change no, afterwards yes of course.

I'll try clearing cmos again.

No joy, system just won't power on. Lights are on but nothing is happening..

EDIT: All working.

Ended up simultaneously clearing cmos with a screwdriver, well randomly pressing the power button and nudging the battery and it came to life. Feel like I was giving the system CPR.

Oh well, whatever works I guess.
