Gigabyte X58A-UD3R fan speed control

Hi Guys,

I have a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (rev 1.0) motherboard. The case fans are connected to the fan headers on the mobo but I can't find a way of controlling the system fans, only the CPU fan speeds up/slows down according to CPU load. The system fans are at max all the time and I can't find anything in bios to change them. I tried speedfan and that didn't work either. Any ideas?

Mine is the same, in fact my H50 fan which is connected to the CPU header runs at 1400 all the time, according to Speedfan anyway.

I think it's a 'feature', but I hope I'm wrong.
