A physical configuration Q, from those familiar with this mother board.

I am fitting a Gen 5 M.2 as main storage (OS & Apps)
There will be other Gen 4 M.2 NVMe for media storage.

To get maximum high speed PCIe 5.0 speeds, is there no difference between the 2 x PCIe 5.0 available M.2 slots.

There is an issue that slot nearest to CPU has a heatsink that will foul AOIC cooler head.
I have a replacement heatsink on its way …. But an option would be to use lower slot, as then no heatsink issue.
I can then put replacement heatsink in place but leave empty.
Install video shows heatsink can be a pain to use.

I'm going with this

MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi Motherboard, ATX - Supports AMD Ryzen 7000 Processors, AM5-14 Duet Rail 80A SPS, DDR5 7800 MHz/OC, PCIe 5.0 x16, M.2 Gen5, 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6E

I had that information from manufacturers website, my question was build specific on any difference between upper & lower M.2 sockets.
Which Tetras clarified.

For some odd reason I lost my original CPU from my wishlist
So I was wondering can I use this CPU with my motherboard?

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X Processor, 16 Cores/32 Threads, Zen 5 Architecture, 80MB L3 Cache, 170W TDP, Up to 5.7GHz Boost Frequency, Socket AM5, DDR5 and PCIe 5.0, No Fan

Or this

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Processor, 16 Cores/32 Jailless Threads, Zen 4 Architecture, 80MB L3 Cache, 170W TDP, Up to 5.7GHz Boost Frequency, Socket AMD 5, DDR5 & PCIe 5.0, No Heatsink

The board has Q flash + so you can flash the bios before you install the CPU, just Google it and look for a video on how to do it as the Gigabyte instructions aren't that clear
