Hi All,

The Hex Debug screen is completely blank when I power my machine on, I did just replace the PSU after that failed...so worried my motherboard has also now gone.

As mentioned all lights come on and the AIO shows temperature, but the Hex Debug doesn't cycle. Also the CPU debug light is orange, but could that be because the machine isn't cycling. I did re-seat and reapplied thermal paste.

Regards

Kyle

Done no difference. Spoke to a tech friend and he thinks its either CPU or Mobo. But hard without a spare to work that one out.

Yeah compatible spare parts
Make troubleshooting easier for sure
Try removing cmos battery for half an hour
Had a temperamental gigabyte board before
That was only thing worked
Less than half an hour had no effect for some reason
If its dual bios
There's a way to force booting from backup bios I think
Though forgot how I did it

You might get lucky and a member near you
Might be able to test your cpu for you
I have done it in the past for members on here

Thanks mate, Battery is behind the fancy looking plastic shield and I have no clue how to remove that to get to the battery.
I just bought another 7800x3d, will test that tomorrow and see if that brings any success. least if it doesn't i know it's mobo.

Very annoying when they put the battery
Behind heatsinks and stuff
Yeah you don't need to access it often
But the idea is you can pop it out without
Needing to remove anything at all
That would be a total PITA with a custom loop installed

Tell me about it! it looks awesome, but I think I'd take it working over bloody looking nice at the moment :)
Well wish me luck it's simply a dead CPU. the 7800X3D I have heard a little finicky.

Motherboard tends to die more than cpus do
But it's easier job to try the cpu first
Especially since its stuck on cpu debug led
Though that could also be caused by faulty Motherboard

Totally separate
But as a new member you used to be limited to a small
Amount of posts a day
To avoid people making fake accounts and spamming
Forgot exactly But something like 15 posts per 24 hours
Until you have 120 posts
My memory sucks so may not be exactly that figure
Or they may have changed it

So if you use the reply option instead
Used to be it didn't count those as a post
Otherwise once you hit the daily limit
It's very annoying if you're in the middle of getting help

Ah thanks for the heads up on the POST count. I use to have 500+ posts but a mate got me banned on here :(

I've just checked my CPU it looks perfect condition, i was worried it was burnt out based on the Gamers Nexus find...

If it's Motherboard I'll be so sad, as I can't find stock anywhere.

Think mostly it was asus
With the too high soc voltage carry on
Though all the manufacturers should now have
Rolled out new bios lowering the voltage to safe level
